Matthew W. Conrad, Attorney at Law, is the founder of the Indianapolis law firm Conrad Legal LLC, where his practice is limited to personal bankruptcy matters under Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 of the Bankruptcy Code.
Matt is admitted to practice before all Indiana and Washington state courts; the U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts for Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana; and the U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Western District of Washington state. He earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree, with honors, in 2002 from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis. While in law school, his peers elected him to serve as Senior Executive Editor for Volume 35 of the Indiana Law Review.
As an undergraduate student, he majored in political science and minored in philosophy at Indiana University’s flagship campus in Bloomington, where he served on and advised judicial boards that dealt with cases of alleged personal misconduct by fellow students.
Before opening Conrad Legal LLC in 2013, Matt practiced law at firms in Indianapolis and Seattle. Most recently he was a Partner at Geiger Conrad & Head LLP, where he was in charge of their bankruptcy practice area.
Matt is a regular presenter for the National Business Institute at their continuing legal education seminars. Past speaking engagements include “Nuts and Bolts of Bankruptcy Law,” “Chapter 7 and 13 Bankruptcy: Line-by Line Workshop,” “Bankruptcy Litigation 101,” “Advanced Collection Law,” and “Bankruptcy: New Rules and Latest Issues Affecting Your Practice.”
Born in Boston in 1978, Matt currently lives in Downtown Indianapolis and proudly considers Indy his adopted hometown.
